Your Visit

What to Expect at Your Visit

01

Your Initial Consultation

Your first appointment is dedicated to understanding your condition fully. Dr. Cameron-Donaldson will review your medical history, prior imaging, and current symptoms — then conduct a thorough physical examination.  You decide how much time you need and schedule it.

02

Ultrasound Evaluation

In many cases, Dr. Cameron-Donaldson will perform an in-office musculoskeletal ultrasound to visualize the affected area in real time. This allows for immediate, precise diagnosis without additional imaging appointments.

03

Your Treatment Plan

After your evaluation, Dr. Cameron-Donaldson will explain her findings in plain language and walk you through all available treatment options — including regenerative therapies, conservative management, and when referral for surgery may be appropriate.

04

Follow-Up & Ongoing Care

Your care doesn't end after your first appointment. Dr. Cameron-Donaldson monitors your progress and adjusts your treatment plan as needed to ensure you're moving toward your goals.

Understanding Regenerative Medicine

Regenerative medicine represents a fundamental shift in how we approach musculoskeletal care — moving from managing symptoms to actively restoring tissue health.

How PRP Works

Your blood contains platelets rich in growth factors that signal tissue repair. PRP therapy concentrates these platelets and delivers them directly to the site of injury, amplifying your body's natural healing response.

The Role of Ultrasound

Musculoskeletal ultrasound provides real-time, dynamic imaging of soft tissues — allowing diagnosis of conditions that may not appear on standard X-rays and enabling precise, image-guided procedures.

Non-Surgical vs. Surgical Care

Surgery carries real risks and recovery demands. For many musculoskeletal conditions, non-surgical approaches — including regenerative therapy, physical rehabilitation, and targeted injections — can achieve comparable or superior outcomes.
